Getting a good trace

Two tools shared one pocket

They were too close together. Leave about 10 mm between tools — a finger's width. Under about 5 mm the outlines merge, because the pocket is grown by the fit clearance on every side before they are compared.

A shadow became an extra pocket

Even out the light, or use the flash. Coloured paper works better than white for this: a shadow changes the paper's brightness but not its colour, so Trayce can key on the colour and ignore the shadow. On white paper there is no colour to key against.

The outline is bigger than the tool

Usually a soft shadow being read as part of the tool. Flash, backlight, or coloured paper all fix it.

Something is missing entirely

Very thin stock — a small hex key, a scribe — can be missed. Try more contrast between the tool and the paper.

Printing

Which file?

The 3MF. It records millimetres explicitly and carries both parts with their colours; an STL carries neither, though STLs are exported too for slicers that need them.

The tool does not fit

Change the fit under Adjust. "Snug" is 0.35 mm of clearance per side, "Just right" 0.6 mm, "Loose" 0.95 mm. A printer that runs wide wants a looser setting.

Account and subscription

Cancelling

Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting your Trayce account does not cancel the subscription, and you will keep being billed until you cancel it there.

Deleting your account

The account icon in the app, then Delete account. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Restoring a subscription on a new phone

Sign in with the same account, then Restore purchases on the account screen.
